Bavarian-born RONNY KRIPPNER is in the unique position of having been formed in both the German and British choral traditions. He studied organ playing and improvisation with Prof. Franz-Josef Stoiber at the Hochschule für Kirchenmusik in Regensburg while at the same time working as Assistant Choirmaster of the Regensburger Domspatzen” (“Regensburg Cathedral Sparrows”), Regensburg Cathedral's famous boys' choir. After graduating, Ronny went to Exeter University to take his master's degree (M.A.) in “English Cathedral Music” whilst singing in the Cathedral Choir as a Choral Scholar.
Building on these twin musical foundations, Ronny went on to take up various posts. In 2005 he became Organ Scholar at Bristol Cathedral, Organist at Clifton College and a member of staff at Bristol Grammar school, combining his expertise in organ playing with a gift for choral direction. After a period working at Newport Cathedral, Wales, Ronny moved to London where he is now Organist and Teacher of Music at King's College School, Wimbledon. Playing the organ for the various school services, accompanying and assisting in training the Chamber Choir, teaching academic music lessons as well as all the school's organ students are the various aspects of Ronny's position at this traditional day school for boys. In addition to his school activities, Ronny is Assistant Director of Music at the celebrated 'Handel church', St George's, Hanover Square (London), with its professional choir and annual Handel Festival.
Being fascinated from an early age by organ improvisation, Ronny has made this a specialism, for which he has won many accolades. He took part in several master classes on that subject, having studied with Olivier Latry, Naji Hakim, Anders Bondeman, Jos van der Kooy, Hans Haselböck, Loïc Mallié, David Briggs and Daniel Roth. Finalist in the prestigious Organ Improvisation Competition in St Albans in 2009, he won two Prizes in the International Organ Improvisation Competition in Biarritz in the same year.
Ronny has recorded several CDs with organ and choir music on German record labels and has frequently been heard performing on television and radio, both in Germany and the UK. He has given organ recitals in Germany, Holland, Belgium, the United Kingdom, the United States and Mexico.
In February 2008, Ronny became a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists.

RONNY KRIPPNER studierte bis 2004 an der Regensburger Kirchenmusikhochschule (Orgelspiel und Improvisation bei Prof. Franz-Josef Stoiber) und war während dieser Zeit auch als Chorleiter bei den Vorchören der Regensburger Domspatzen tätig.
Im Herbst 2004 ging er nach England, wo er an der Universität von Exeter im Master-Studiengang “English Cathedral Music” sein künstlerisches Können in den Fächern Orgel und Chorleitung vertiefte. Danach folgten Krippner´s Sturm und Drang Jahre: neben dem Lehramtsstudium in Bristol war er Organist an den Kathedralen von Bristol und Newport, sowie am Clifton College.
Seit September 2007 ist Ronny Krippner Organist an der King´s College School im Londoner Stadtteil Wimbledon. Darüber hinaus ist er als Organist an der St. George´s Church Hanover Square in London tätig – der Kirche, in welcher Georg Friedrich Händel über 30 Jahre an den Gottesdiensten teilnahm und auch gelegentlich selbst die Orgel spielte. Im April diesen Jahres übertrug BBC Radio 3 live aus St George´s eine Improvisation Krippner´s im Stile Händels, welche er auf der dortigen “Handel House Organ” spielte.
Ronny Krippner ist Kulturpreisträger der Stadt Marktredwitz (Bayern) und einer der wenigen deutschen Inhaber des Fellowship-Diploms des Royal College of Organists, London. Seine rege Konzerttätigkeit führte ihn nach England, Deutschland, Mexiko, Holland und jüngstens nach Italien. Im Sommer 2009 wurde Krippner Finalist im Fach Improvisation beim Internationalen Orgelwettbewerb in St. Albans (GB) und gewann kurz darauf zwei Preise für Improvisation beim Concours d'Orgue André Marchal in Biarritz (F).
Derzeit betreibt Krippner praktische Forschungen zur “English Organ Improvisation in the 20th and 21st Century” im Rahmen einer Doktorarbeit am Konservatorium in Birmingham.

Ronny Krippner, né en Bavière, a eu la chance d’avoir été formé au chant choral selon les traditions à la fois allemande et anglaise. Il a appris l’orgue, le jeu et l’improvisation avec le Professeur Franz-Josef Stoiber à la Hochschule fur Kirchenmusik à Ratisbonne alors qu’il travaillait également comme assistant chef de chœur de la Regensburger Domspatzen (les Hirondelles de la Cathédrale de Ratisbonne), le célèbre chœur de garçon de cette ville. Après son diplôme, Ronny a étudié à l’Université d’Exeter pour passer son master (M.A.) en ‘English Cathedral Music’ tout en chantant dans le chœur de la cathédrale comme ‘Choral Scholar’.
Tout en travaillant sur ces compétences polyvalentes, Ronny a poursuivi son apprentissage en assumant plusieurs postes. En 2005, il est devenu Etudiant en orgue à la Cathédrale de Bristol, Organiste à l’Université de Clifton, et professeur à la ‘Grammar School’ de Bristol, associant ses capacités à l’orgue à un don pour la direction de chœur. Il joue de l’orgue lors des nombreux services pour l’école, accompagnant et aidant lors des répétitions de la chorale de Musique de Chambre. Il assure également des cours de musique mais enseigne aussi aux étudiants en orgue à l’école.
